EuroMed Heritage II
What is EuroMed Heritage?
The EuroMed Heritage is a programme funded by the European Union and aimed at strengthening relations between European and Mediterranean countries. The principal financial instrument of the European Union for the implementation of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership, is referred to as the MEDA programme. The Barcelona Process, has thus launched a programme, which promotes dialogue between cultures and civilisations that, encourages mutual understanding through programmes in media, youth, information technology, and heritage.
What are the objectives of the EuroMed Heritage programme?
To create a dialogue through human, scientific and technological cross-cultural exchanges promoting the care and conservation of the Mediterranean Heritage.

Ikonos is a project, which falls under the EuroMed Heritage II programme, whose aims are to create widespread associations of knowledge and expertise. The projects within this framework seek to preserve the Mediterranean's tangible and intangible heritage.
